More Christmas Decor
I'm off to the mall today with friends to battle some more Christmas shopping. But here's a quick post with some more of our decorations. We're really happy to be using so many natural objects and so much from our backyard. I still have more to show you and I'd LOVE to see your decorations too!! Post your blog link in your comment so I can visit you!Above my kitchen window |
Our first fire and Jim's first fire in a fireplace ever. He's so happy to finally live in a house that has one! |
This is what my dining room looked like in 1969 |
Dried orange garland |
Slice oranges in 1/8 inch slices. Lay on a rack on a cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees F for 2 hours. If they aren't dry enough turn the oven off and let them sit in there overnight. |
Tree is only decorated on the top half...thanks Ellie! |
So I'm off to the mall. If you don't hear from me in a week send out the dogs. But fill their casks with chocolate of some kind. Thanks.
Cheers!
Jenny

ReplyDeleteLove it all! The fireplace looks awesome - you did a good job decorating it. And the fire is lovely, too. You are very talented.
ReplyDeleteI did orange garlands one year, with cinnamon sticks. Actually I did a whole natural Christmas theme for a few years. I even made apple peel cinnamon "ginger bread" men. Oh, I'm feeling a blog post coming on... you've inspired me! Thanks for sharing.
