Sewing Project: Crib Duvet Cover and Crib Skirt
The crib set I bought when the girls were babies is blue and Ellie's room is pink now. GASP! So I found some lovely companion fabrics at a fancy fabric store and they were on super sale. I was inspired to make a duvet cover for a small down blanket we had and a matching crib skirt. I have never done either and I'm so so happy with how they turned out!I was going for a cottage feel and I think these fabrics nailed it!
I added some crocheted trim to the long sides of the duvet cover. It took me a while because Wal-mart only had 1 roll of it and then I had to wait weeks for another roll to appear.
I used the leftover fabric to make a book box out of an old K-cup coffee box from Sam's Club. Once I'm done with the next box I'll make another!
I'm hoping to get some tutorials up this week on how I made the skirt and duvet cover.
See you soon!
Jenny
