How I Get Designer Fabric Pillows for $5 or less
I have a secret that I would like to share with you! I love to have expensive, special order designer fabric for my pillow covers but I don't want to have to order a yard of the fabric or pay the designer fabric prices to get them. So how do I get my pillow covers for less than $5 using fabrics that cost $49.99 a yard or more? Sample sales!
Jo-Ann Fabric is my favorite place to score designer fabric samples. Every so often they sell their samples for $2 or $1 and I snatch up as many as I can.
They measure approximately 17 inches square which is perfect for a 16 inch pillow form. If you want to make a larger pillow you can just sew some ribbon around the edge to make a larger square.
Sometimes I use two samples, one with a design and the other solid, and just sew them together and sometimes I buy simple muslin to make the backs of the pillows.
Keep your eyes out for those sample sales at your local fabric store!!
Cheers!
Jenny
I always buy too many! It's so hard to not pick a ton of them! Beautiful choices :)

Love this! I have pillows on the brain, as I'm planning a post soon with some pillows. I did not know JoAnn's did that! So cool! It sort of reminds me of the post I just wrote about some upholstery swatches I picked up at Goodwill. I almost made one into a pillow b/c it would have looked so nice. I opted for a clutch! :)
