Chalk Paint Table

Share It:

When we moved into our house, my sister gave us a little unfinished table that she wasn't using anymore. In the 3 years we've been here, it has been 3 different colors!  This time I used a cream colored chalk paint with greige accents.

Planting a Deer Resistant Garden

I adore our neighborhood! It is quite common to see families of deer walking through our yard or resting under our pine tree. But with the good comes the bad and I have quickly learned that deer will destroy my best gardening efforts.

Anyway, here are some more ideas to inspire you this Memorial Day weekend!  Remember, pin from the original blog!

Kathe With An E is one of the most positive, supportive bloggers around!  Her blog is full of decorating, craft, and recipe ideas. Her two-ingredient lemon bars sound sensational!  I hope you'll check it out!

Patriotic Tablescapes

This and That is a cooking blog that showcases all types of recipes, including African ones!  How neat is that?! She went all American though with her parfait. The sauces are homemade and the the surprise ingredient is rhubarb!

I'm continuing to showcase some of my bloggy friends and their patriotic projects!  I hope you'll stop by their blogs and remember to pin from the original source.  Thanks for reading!

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I could easily skip dinner but I can't remember ever skipping breakfast. I just love it that much. However, I don't love mornings and so that is where overnight oats come in as my quick and easy breakfast of choice lately.

Patriotic Dessert--Apple Pie: Yesterfood!

Share It:

Did you know that people in other countries have USA themed parties?  It's true. They dress in jeans and baseball caps, drink out of red Solo cups, and serve apple pie!  The whole red Solo cup is less of a USA thing and more of a college frat party thing but baseball and apple pie are, without a doubt, American.

As part of the patriotic showcase of bloggers, Joy at Yesterfood, is sharing her recipe for homemade apple pie. Lucky for us, she also includes the recipe for her favorite pie crust too!

Joy's blog is filled with amazing recipes and mouth-watering photos. I hope you'll visit her!  Check out her carrot cake, by the way. It sounds delicious! And remember, please pin from the original source!
